WHM / Cpanel Updates Today

We are in the process of updating the Cpanel servers to the latest builds. This is quite an update bordering on the upgrade side of things. Below you can see all that is being updated, tweaked, removed and replaced. Is is very rare to have a problem when we work on Cpanel so no downtime is expected.

Changes, Fixes and Features:

Resolved long load time for Zone editor
Bug 6437 check for /dev/random and /dev/urandom before running rndc-confgen
Cleaned up Exim queue output
Corrected charset to UTF-8 in htdocs
Display appropriate error when username is not provided during Password modification
Do not install ssl certs for services that are not enabled
Ensure ADDONS file handle is closed upon completion
Fix upcp hang on Courier restart
Fixed backup configuration template for proper comparisons
Fixed broken javascript on diskusage/index.html effecting Internet Explorer 6/7
Bug 6423: Lowercase CommonName when generating or installing SSL Certificatess to prevent removal when regenerating httpd.conf

DCPUMon: Add ps processes to totals after checking for Apache processe to prevent adding duplicates to the toplist

Remove -v from the options of mysqldump in /scripts/pkgacct. The extra data can cause data corruption if written to the sql dump file.

Removed non-existant DomXstl from makecphpphp profile

Resolved issue that displayed all SSL Certificates in the Service Manager

Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm: Prevent package settings from being overridden when edit-account privilege exists and package value is not specified
cpbackup: Ensure FTP Login failure is logged
postgresadmin: Prevent spurious error when doing setuid to PostgreSQL user
Updated French language file removing German keys
Disable register_globals for internal PHP execution
Disabled SecureSSL certificate purchases through WHM
Fixed CommonName validator update which prevented creation of Wildcard SSL CSRs
Prevent improper entries in /etc/passwd from breaking ftpadmin
Resolved cpsrvd SSL startup when nativessl is disabled in cpanel.config
Ensure no other applications are using port 110 when cppop is in use
Fixed problem with license requests made through proxies
Prevent spurious warning during update of SSL certificate file permissions when service directory does not exist in /var/cpanel/ssl (i.e. service not used).

Added SPF/DomainKey lookup using /etc/mailips for remote_smtp
Added Tweak Setting: Only permit cpanel/whm/webmail to execute functions that have a referrer that matches one of the domains/ip on this server. This will help prevent XSRF attacks, but may break integration with other systems, login applications, and billing software.
Added text to language download explaining how to find local modifications in downloaded file

Provide a more robust verification of /etc/passwd entries
